Angiogenesis is the physiological process of the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing vessels. Angiogenesis can be induced by solid tumor growth. In the meantime, angiogenesis provides solid tumor with oxygen and nutrients to make it reach a certain size. There are many important targets related to angiogensis including EGFR, HER2, VEGFR, PDGFR, FGFR, FLT3, HIF, ALK, VDA, S1P receptor. Most of those targets are receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK)s.
